Algae Protection
Contractors certified by GAF can offer you a 30-Year StainGuard Plus PRO or 25-Year StainGuard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty4 with 15-year Non-Prorated Smart Choice Protection (vs. typical 10-year Smart Choice Protection Period).5 Coverage only available on appropriately labeled products.
1 The word "Lifetime" refers to the length of coverage provided by the GAF Shingle & Accessory Limited Warranty, GAF Roofing System Limited Warranty, System Plus Limited Warranty, Silver Pledge Limited Warranty, or Golden Pledge Limited Warranty as applicable, and means as long as the original individual owner(s) of a single-family detached residence [or eligible second owner(s)] owns the property where the qualifying GAF products are installed. For owners/structures not meeting the above criteria, Lifetime coverage is not applicable. Lifetime coverage on shingles requires the use of GAF Lifetime Shingles only. Lifetime coverage on shingles and accessories requires the use of any GAF Lifetime Shingle and at least 3 qualifying GAF Accessories.
2 Contractor certification is only for installations covered by GAF enhanced warranties.

4 25-year StainGuard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty and 30-year StainGuard Plus PRO Algae Protection Limited Warranty against blue-green algae discoloration is available only on products sold in packages bearing the StainGuard Plus or StainGuard Plus PRO logo.
5 15-year Smart Choice Protection Period for StainGuard Plus Algae Protection Limited Warranty and StainGuard Plus PRO Algae Protection Limited Warranty only available through GAF certified contractors in connection with an enhanced warranty.
